Every Action
Has Value.

REWATR is a technology platform that helps events, brands and cities reward people for disposing of waste responsibly. Return a bottle at a REWATR station, get rewarded on the spot, and the venue leaves cleaner than it started.

01

Launch market: Sri Lanka

02

Launch wedge: events and public gatherings

03

First outcome: measurably cleaner events

In plain language

Return. Earn. Leave the place cleaner.

What is REWATR?

REWATR is a technology platform that helps events, brands and cities reward people for disposing of waste responsibly.

Who is it for?

Event organisers, sponsoring brands, cities and the people who attend and live in those spaces.

What problem does it solve?

Waste at events and in public spaces, and the fact that nobody is rewarded for handling it correctly.

Where is it starting?

Sri Lanka, at events and public gatherings. Deliberately narrow.

Why should I care?

Cleaner venues, lower clean-up costs, measurable sponsorship, and rewards for ordinary people.

01 — The immediate problem

Events create waste faster than anyone can clear it.

Festivals, matches and public gatherings generate enormous volumes of bottles and cans in a matter of hours. Nobody in the chain is rewarded for doing the right thing.

01

Attendees

Have no reason to dispose of anything correctly. The bin is further away than the ground.

02

Organisers

Spend heavily on cleaning crews, waste haulage and venue penalties after every event.

03

Sponsors

Pay for banners and activations they cannot measure in any meaningful way.

04

Municipalities

Inherit the operational burden and the public criticism once the event ends.

02 — The first solution

Smart return stations that reward people on the spot.

REWATR places smart return stations at the venue. People return eligible bottles and cans, the return is checked at the point of action, and the reward arrives within seconds.

01

Return

Drop eligible bottles and cans into a REWATR station at the venue.

02

Verify

The return is checked at the point of action, not self-reported.

03

Earn

Points, rankings, partner rewards or sponsored water — within seconds.

04

Improve

Organisers, brands and authorities see what actually happened.

01

People receive

Rewards, recognition and sponsored hydration, immediately.

02

Organisers receive

A visibly cleaner venue and lower clean-up cost.

03

Sponsors receive

Measurable engagement tied to a good act, not an impression estimate.

04

Municipalities receive

Cleaner public space and a record of what actually happened.

03 — The launch strategy

Sri Lanka first. Events first.

The first deployment focuses on events and public gatherings in Sri Lanka. This is deliberately narrow. It exists to validate behaviour, operational efficiency and commercial demand before anything is scaled.

01

Launch market

Sri Lanka — high mobile and QR adoption, dense public space, willing partners, low cost of learning.

02

Launch wedge

Events and public gatherings, where the waste problem is visible and a sponsor is already in the room.

03

First measurable outcome

Cleaner events: capture rate, clean-up cost and verified returns per event.

04

Honest scope

A small fleet of stations and defined eligible materials. This is a pilot, not a national rollout.

Sponsored water

Brands fund the water. The container comes back.

At events, brands can fund free drinking water. People stay hydrated, the brand is present in a genuinely useful moment, and the container is designed to be returned through a REWATR station. REWATR is not a bottled-water company — it runs the rewards and the measurement around the campaign.

People receive

Hydration, rewards and recognition.

Brands receive

Measurable participation, campaign visibility and environmental reporting.

Events and cities receive

Cleaner spaces, engagement data and operational insight.

REWATR provides

Stations, reward logic, verification, campaign setup, measurement.

The object

The bottle is the interface.

A 500ml shell engineered around the return: one geometry, one shoulder mark, one unique return code — and a full-wrap canvas that belongs to whoever funds the reward.

Tamper-evident cap

Ribbed sport cap with a factory seal. Intact on dispense, removed on drink, irrelevant on return — the station reads the body, not the lid.

Why it works

People rarely change because they are educated. People change because incentives change.

Two decades of awareness campaigns produced knowledge, not behaviour. REWATR does not argue with people. It changes the arithmetic of the decision at the exact moment it is made — responsibility, finally paid. Waste already has value; the person who returns it has simply never received any of it.

04 — The platform

Once behaviour is proven, the same system travels.

The station is the first interface, not the product. Once the behaviour is validated at events, the same rewards platform extends into other environments.

01

Schools and universities

Repeat populations where habit, not novelty, is proven.

02

Tourism and hospitality

Beaches, hotels and resorts where cleanliness is commercial.

03

Cities and transport hubs

Permanent public-space deployment once operations are mature.

04

Public infrastructure

Any environment where responsible behaviour is worth rewarding.

Where we are todayEverything from here describes what REWATR grows into after the event pilots succeed. It is the plan, not the current deployment.

The ecosystem

Fourteen products. One connected system.

Every product feeds the same record of verified actions. Stations generate the events, mobile carries identity, sponsors fund rewards, cities receive the evidence, and the API lets others plug in later.

REWATR Stations

Connected return points that verify material, weight and identity at the moment of deposit.

REWATR Mobile

A QR identity, a live wallet and a permanent record of everything a person has returned.

REWATR Rewards

A rules engine that prices verified actions and settles value instantly.

REWATR Water

Refill and packaging designed to re-enter the network rather than leave it.

REWATR Sponsors

Brands fund rewards and receive verified behaviour instead of impressions.

REWATR Events

Temporary networks deployed for festivals, stadiums and public gatherings.

REWATR Schools

Class and campus leagues that make returning material a team sport.

REWATR Cities

Municipal dashboards showing diversion, hotspots and cost avoided.

REWATR Businesses

Workplace return points with reporting that survives an ESG audit.

REWATR Community

Cleanups, leagues and seasons that turn individuals into teams.

REWATR Foundation

A fixed share of network value directed to restoration work.

REWATR Analytics

One material and behaviour graph across every site and market.

REWATR Marketplace

Where earned value is spent — airtime, transit, groceries, causes.

REWATR API

Any partner can verify an action and issue a reward against it.

Why it compounds

Every participant makes the system worth more.

As more people, sponsors, organisers, schools, cities and partners join, each one makes participation more valuable for the rest. 12 distinct loops connect them, and the durability lives in those relationships rather than in the machine.

Measurement

One number: verified actions per month.

Cleaner events are the first outcome; the number behind it is verified environmental actions. Every team — consumer, sponsor, city, school, engineering, growth, product and operations — owns one KPI that feeds it.

05 — The long-term vision

Environmental Rewards Infrastructure.

A platform that rewards verified environmental behaviour across cities, organisations and communities — so that a responsible action taken anywhere can be recognised and rewarded everywhere.

01

The unit

A verified environmental action, recorded once and trusted by everyone who relies on it.

02

The role

The rewards and verification layer other organisations build on.

03

The horizon

Years, not quarters. It is earned by execution at events first.

04

The discipline

REWATR does not attempt to solve every environmental problem on day one.

Year 1

Sri Lanka

Dense urban returns, high QR adoption, low deployment cost.

Year 2

Maldives · UAE · India

Tourism pressure, ESG mandates and population density.

Year 3

Singapore · Indonesia · Thailand · Malaysia

Regulated deposit schemes and mature event infrastructure.

Year 4

Middle East · Australia

Government-backed container deposit programmes.

Year 5

Europe · United Kingdom · North America

Mature deposit-return markets seeking a rewards layer.

The world built systems that reward consumption. REWATR builds systems that reward responsibility.
